Inventory of Borough Owned Trees Begins 2/16/26

Arborists from Davey Resource Group will begin conducting a Borough-wide tree inventory on Monday, February 16, 2026.

Over the next several weeks, crews will be cataloging and evaluating Borough-owned trees throughout North Plainfield.

 

This project is being funded through a $850,000 grant from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.

Subsequent phases of this initiative will include trimming, removal (if necessary for safety reasons), and planting new trees.

This inventory will help the Borough better manage, maintain, and protect our community tree resources for the long term.

Davey Resource Group employees will carry ID and will keep our Police Dept. informed of their locations.
