Council

The borough council is North Plainfield's legislative branch. It consists of seven members elected to serve for four years on a staggered schedule.

The council meets in public sessions twice per month at 7:30pm on the second and fourth Monday of every month. In-person meetings are generally held in council chambers at Borough Hall. Some meetings are held in other locations or online, so check the borough calendar if you plan to attend a meeting. All are welcome! We invite you to attend a council meeting to see your town government in action and have an opportunity for your voice to be heard.
